Hospitality Staff
The **Hospitality Staff** assist patients with menu selection prior to meals, and assembles and delivers meals to patients. They communicate routinely with patient care staff regarding the patient's location, diet order, etc. The Hospitality Staff also works closely with the RD/DTR informing them of concerns with eating, menu selection, etc. and provides tube feedings as indicated, between meal nourishments for selected patients, as well as courtesy trays as needed, and enters menu selection data into the computer, and runs a variety of software programs. They also monitor refrigerator/freezer temps and assure that open foods/containers are labeled and dated. The Hospitality Staff works closely with the RD/DTR, reporting patient intake and appetite.
High school graduate or equivalent.
10 hour Shifts (7am-5:30pm)
Other Skills Required**
Must be customer service oriented, with a pleasant, outgoing personality.
Prior experience must include working on a team in a customer service setting.
Must be very comfortable using computers.
Excellent telephone etiquette.
Able to read and write English language.
**Physical Requirements**
Normal work day is 10 hrs.
Time spent sitting: 5%,
Time spent standing or walking: 60%
Time spent standing still: 35%.
Miles walked: 2-3/day.
Amounts lifted: 10 - 30 lb, 40% of the day.
Weight pushed <600 lb 6times/day
Works in a well lit, ventilated kitchen or diet office. Also works on Patient care units
