IS Application Analyst - Associate/Intermediate/Senior
**JOB SUMMARY:** The IS Application Analyst presents a professional image in conduct, attitude, and attire and maintains a positive can-do attitude. This individual is required to clearly communicate information through appropriate methods, read and interpret the most complex information, collaborate with teams across departments, write clearly and informatively, edit work for spelling and grammar, and listen well. This position regularly and consistently acts with the best interest of the organization, the patient, and the customer in mind.
This is a technical role in which the individual is expected to:
o Participate in the routine maintenance and build of applicable Information Systems
o Develop and maintain detailed documentation of application changes and updates
o Assist in conducting training and with parts of projects or processes within the department
o Work closely with the departmental Manager/Supervisor, end users in all applicable areas, and vendors to maintain stable, functional, and progressive software applications
o Assist with preparing detailed specifications from which programs will be written
The Analyst exercises direction and judgment under direct supervision and works as part of a team on phases of application implementation, systems analysis, and programming activities.
The Analyst gathers and analyzes information skillfully, develops and recommends alternative solutions, works well in group problem-solving situations, and uses reason when dealing with emotional topics. As such, it is expected that the candidate can speak clearly and persuasively in a variety of situations.
The Analyst manages competing demands in an environment with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected results, and the ability to analyze implications of design concepts is critical.
The Analyst solves or escalates immediate problems in order to succeed on assigned projects and tasks.
The individual must be able to travel throughout the system with variable hours and complete other duties as assigned.

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:**
**__Associate Analyst Requirements:__** Associate's Degree or candidate may be considered without associate degree with a minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience supporting Patient Accounting software applications.
**__Intermediate Analyst Requirements:__** 2-4 years of relevant experience providing technical support for Patient Accounting application software. Associate's Degree or candidate may be considered without associate degree with a minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience supporting Patient Accounting software applications.
**__Senior Analyst Require:__** 4-6 years of relevant experience providing technical support for Patient Accounting application software. Associate Degree or candidate may be considered without associate degree with a minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience supporting Patient Accounting software applications.
**OTHER SKILLS:** Candidates with direct experience supporting the other Patient Accounting software applications supported by PAS Application Support will also be given preference.
Work experience with personal computers and customer service required; Interacts and communicates effectively with end-users, providers, peers, management, vendors, and others in a manner that positively represents EMHS. Demonstrates excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates the ability to multitask, work under pressure with precision and accuracy, and cope effectively with rapidly changing priorities and a continual backlog of work. Exhibits practical problem solving skills. Demonstrates a basic understanding of end-user workflow. Possesses the ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schematic form. Demonstrates an understanding of EMHS Information Systems applications and how they integrate and interact with each other. Applies systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications. Designs, develops, documents, analyzes, tests, and/or modifies computer systems or programs, including prototypes, based on and related to user or system design specifications. Experience with Cerner systems is preferred.
